Parentish ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Phone number — used for authentication only. Never shown to other parents or shared publicly.
First name and zip code — used to connect you with parents in your neighborhood.
Posts and replies — content you create in the app, associated with your profile.
Photos — profile photos and family photos you choose to upload.
Kids' ages — used to help match you with relevant local content and events.
Push notification token — used to send you notifications about replies and local activity.
Device information — basic device and OS info collected automatically for app performance.
Direct messages — private messages sent between users are stored securely in our database. Messages are only accessible to the sender and recipient.

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your account via phone number (OTP)
To show you posts and events from parents in your zip code
To send push notifications about replies and local activity
To process subscription purchases via RevenueCat and Apple
To moderate content and keep the community safe
To deliver direct messages between users in real time

What We Don't Do

We do not sell your personal information to third parties
We do not show your phone number to other users
We do not use your data for advertising
We do not share your location beyond your zip code

Third-Party Services

Supabase — database and authentication (privacy policy)
RevenueCat — subscription management (privacy policy)
Apple — push notifications and in-app purchases (privacy policy)
Anthropic Claude — AI-powered content moderation and meal planning (privacy policy)

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Me tab in the app, which permanently removes your profile, posts, direct messages, and all associated data.

Children's Privacy

Parentish is intended for parents and adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
